BAC Valves acquires new machinery
BAC Valves is investing in upgrades and new equipment, most notably the new acquisitions of a machining centre and a lathe.
BAC Valves has made an investment to add new machinery to its extensive infrastructure and technology. The latest additions consist of a new horizontal machining centre and a tilting bed screw.

The Matsuura H.Plus 500 is an advanced horizontal machining centre, designed to offer a combination of high precision, efficiency and versatility in the manufacture of complex fish, perfect for the company's high demand. The performance of this machine allows for reduced operating times, the possibility of continuous operation due to advanced automation.

Secondly, the CMZ TD35Y screw allows to achieve the high pressure required by BAC Valves products. It is a capçal fix screw with milling capability and eix I (which allows off-centre milling operations), which allows multiple operations on a single machine (turning, milling, processing and threading).

BAC Valves receives a grant of 195,000 euros to improve its competitiveness, sustainability and digitization

The company BAC Valves has obtained a grant of 195,026.27 euros within the Productive Investment Projects program aimed at improving competitiveness, environmental sustainability and digitization of industrial companies. This agreement has been granted by the Department of Enterprise and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya, within the framework of the call regulated by the resolution EMT/135/2023, published on January 18th.

Founded in 1958, BAC Valves designs, manufactures, and sells high-quality ball and butterfly valves for the chemical, petrochemical, gas and processing industries. With the company celebrating its 66th anniversary this year, Valve World spoke to Operations Director Esteve Bernal and Managing Director Carles Bach about how the company has focused on quality while specialising in quarter-turn valves. 

BAC Valves participates with the set of "Hausgesund Knutsen"

On 18 March 2021, the keel of a new LNG bunkering vessel was laid at the Armón shipyard in Gijón. Built for Scale Gas (Enagas) and the shipping company Knutsen OAS, 50% partners in the project, its destination was to be chartered by the oil company Shell as a marketer and supplier of gas to ships berthed in the port of Barcelona and on the Spanish coast as far as Huelva. This gas is easy to obtain, as it is stored in the LNG regasification plant located since 1969 (Gas Natural S.A.) in the port itself.
