Cryogenic

BAC VALVES has a wealth of experience in low-temperature and cryogenic applications (down to -160 ºC), both in high-performance ball valves and butterfly valves, making them ideal for LPG and LNG use. We have also been awarded certificates by independent inspection companies such as Bureau Veritas. The service temperature of the valve dictates the design; our two basic designs are for temperatures to -100 ºC and from -104 ºC to -196 ºC. The valves are fitted with extended shafts of sufficient length to allow the stuffing box of the vapor chamber to be kept at the right temperature to maintain the proper seal and operating parameters.

Metal-Metal

The metal-metal valves are designed to resist the most corrosive and hostile environments and under extreme temperatures. We use metals with a high resistance and quality towards any kind of corrosion. Our valves are the best option for high temperatures. Valve sealing made with metal-metal seats is needed according to working conditions and it will depend on those that surface treatment of balls and seats could change.

Different services for which it is usually required are the following:
  • Abrasive without temperature
  • Temperatures higher than 250ºC
  • Abrasion and temperature

Specialized gas

BAC VALVES has an R & D laboratory with the equipment needed to perform tests at up to 500ºC. Although most valves are suitable for use with NATURAL GAS, there are some specific applications in which companies transporting or distributing gas have particular specifications, or even their own design. This is the case, for example, of NG-type valves, used for gas distribution and including polyethylene ends, as well as those designed for underground installation. Distribution valves are low-pressure valves, while transport and reduction station valves have designs and control devices which make them completely leakage-free and able to withstand high pressures.
Our know-how allows us to offer valves from upstream gas production with an improved service life and low maintenance, midstream processing to downstream distribution, as well as all the processes of the LNG.
